Well i have already changed my suspension to bilstein shocks and avo springs lowered the car about 40mm. My problem is that the car now sits higher at the rear and really low at the front to the point where i scrape my front splitter on nearly everything. I was wondering if i buy new springs for the rear can you get them at about a 60mm drop? so it will bring the rear down and lift the front slightly to even out the way the car sits? or can you get coil overs so i can adjust the suspension alround?

you cut your rear ones down? did you have the exact same problem then? the springs in it before had been cut at the rear but were cut so low that they didnt actually work and were cable tied in place so the rear was just workin on dampners. how much did you cut off?

2 coils, just have to be sure that on full droop they dont come out, its ok to limit the arms movement with chains or steel cable, or even seat belt webbing - its very common on club racers if they have too much droop.

NB thay couldnt have just been working on the dampers that doesnt make sense, other they were on the bump stops or metal/metal contact which I do think they were. The spring will only be seated with the car laden, other wise it soon unseats esp if the spring was short, so you cannot tell with the suspension raised. The droop is ideally limited with a shorter damper, but the external limiting is just as valid.

FYI The springs that came with my kit were not Bilstein but Venturi - I think Bilstein subcontract the spring work to other manufacturers and them make dampners to match.

Coilovers for the rear? I don't think there is space - Plus the mounting at the rear is designed for most of the weight to sit on the springs - the shock mounts only take the dampning weight.

Either way I'm confident you'd be in custom job area and that would be big bucks.

If you've got the streetline kit I wouldn't fit standard springs.

Bilstein Streetline Suspension Kit. Lowers by 40mm approx.

Car fitment
TIPO 1.9 TDS/2.0iE+16V : 88-8/95
The Streetline kit consists of four Original Equipment (OE) Spec Bilstein Gas shock absorbers complete with lowered sports springs. This Entry-Level kit proves very good value for money.

Please Note:
Bilstein Streetline Kits contain yellow Apex Sport Springs.

If the car isn't sitting level you need to contact the people you bought the kit from. Mine sits nice and level.

i'd suggest attempting to get a refund if the products aren't fit for purpose, you'd probably need to get someone to look over the car to confirm it is the springs that are at fault and not that they've been incorrectly fitted etc. you should be able to claim that back if neccessary but if you have a friendly mechanic/garage it helps. If the product is not as described then they should refund you. of course it's never that easy. but these sort of things are rarely cheap and you shouldn't be left out of pocket for something like this really.
