sum1 help me please!!!!my cinquecento only starts wen u bang the steerin wheel!!!!!!

hi there
my cinquecento would only start if you banged the steering wheel and then turned the key.but for some reason now,wen you turn the key nothing happens but sometimes the engine makes a noise as if your tryin to start it with a low battery.can someone please tell me what this could be or if someone could help me figure out the problem coz i dont know alot about cars!!!!please help me!

sounds like theres a problem with an earth or connection at the wiring on the back of the ignition barrel, you will need to remoe the plastic shroud from around the steering column and check it out, or ring a mobile electrician,

ok,i checked the wiring behind the ignition barrel and its seems to be fine,but if i try it in the night the engine tries to turn over now and again but in the day it doesnt do anything.
