That Yaris Verso in post 3 will run forever with lots of neglect but they're sought after, so not cheap, and hard to find.

Why not a Skoda Fabia Estate

yeah its the stilo multiwagon; but on google images there are 76k results for stilo sw and only 17k for stilo mw. google always knows better than fiat, so fiat are wrong.

We had a 5 door stilo for a couple of years, 02 reg, it was great for our 2 dogs as you could slide the back seats forward to give them more room, which we used to do when going on hols. I can sympathise with transporting your dogs as we have a calm one and a mad one! If I let her in the front she'd be sitting on my lap with her paws on the wheel while i drove! And Im sure there will be lots of negative comments about stilo and it was indeed a lumpen ugly thing, but it was perfectly reliable while we had it! tho having said that the handbrake cable did ping on it one time and it rolled into my neighbours house and smashed their bay window in. Could have happened to anyone tho!

We got a peugeot 307 SW 2l diesel now, brill for dogs and we like it! tho the proper peugeot dog guard cost about 100 smackers and Meg can still wriggle thru the side of it. Thats my dog, not the wife.

:ROFLMAO: yeah right
Stilo MW is actually huge, easy to load aswell because the floor is low and flat! And I don't think the MW is a bad looking car either!

:p hiya.

Well, i was goona say a nice 'rounder' VOLVO would do the trick nicely. Not too expensive, usually well looked after, VERY reliable, and at the end of the day VERY safe.

I was tempted by a very nice Volvo as a temporary replacement for our other car while i change the engine. But I bought a bargain Marea and it has served well so far. As long as it lasts until my Mitsubishi Delica is back on the road again.(y)

Maybe even one of them for you, they have dropped a lot in value the past few years, for 5K you would get an absolute stunner of a car, with every conceivable added extra you could imagine. BUT the LWB model would be better for the dogs behind the last set of seats...

And you can take them ANYWHERE:p
