Technical Sudden loss of power

This morning I had a major power outage whilst nearing the M4. Car would idle perfectly but zero power. After a few minutes it came back to life and has been fine since. I am almost 100% convinced
it is the BRAND NEW!! EGR valve I fitted as part of my major rebuild.

As gummed up as my old one was it never gave me issues in 9 years. This damn thing has only been on 5 mins and does this !!!!

If it ain't broke don't fix it :-(

Why not just blank the poxy thing?

I like to be a good environmental citizen, lower NOx emmisions. Plus it allows the engine to run cooler so saves the likelihood of a cracked head, not that the JTD suffers particularly from that AFAIK
