Hi All,
Bit of a hard one as its not a specific technical problem, but something iv noticed.
Quick spec:
Sub - DLS rw10i 250w RMS
Amp - performance ca31 460 watt 3-channel amp
Door speakers - hertz esk 165 peak 200W, continuous 100W
Basically, when I first fitted the above, when turned loud, this system would be seriously 'bassy' and would lift any air fresheners etc with vibration. It's safe to say the sub could be felt.
Now though, since powering the door speakers via the amp, the sub seems much much weaker. Could it be that it is not being powered as much as previously, due to draw from the door speakers?
Or, could it be that it has just deteriorated over time?
To prove a point, I turned music up to a just bearible level and whilst stood outside, the sub could barely be heard/felt.
Am I under powering here? If not, then what could it be?
Any suggestions are appreciated
Thank you,
Sam
