Subtle dash mod

I am in the process of installing LED's in all the other area's of the car, such as the centre console.

I found that the green used in the centre console is not quite as easy to remove as the dials and still left a green hue as it lights up, so i made my own surrounds.

I though i would use the font Neuropol (As used for the BOO URL)

Not to everyones taste i suspect, but i like it.

I was going to install two buttons for the heated seats and mark them as 'ARSE', but i changed my mind...lol

Yeah but then you would have had to install a fridge in the glovebox too. That way you could put "Drink" on the glovebox and "Girls" on the rear seats. As for where the "Feck" would come in I'll let you make your own mind up.

I did something similar on my old mini, the dash had been taken from a Triumph Dolomite and had a cool 8 segment indicator.

I could install a soundboard on my PC and fit a speaker on the outside...

When i press the horn, instead of beeping it could shout 'FECK!'...lol

On a slightly more serious note though I think that looks really good mate.

For gods sake make sure you get to a meet this year though as I'm getting tired of not seeing this beast in the metal.

Maybe the horn should make "howlinbg beast" sounds though to worry the sheep (not that you Welsh based fellas need any help in that department (apologises for blatent stereotyping - but not too sincerely ).

HLX vs. HGT

Lookin at the dials there, the air con goes form cold to 18 degrees.

When I bought my MKII HGT I would have preferred to have had a soonroof. Then last summer, I was greatlful for having air con to keep it cool inside the car. But during the remainder of the year, it bugs me how I keep selecting 18 then cold, then 18 again!

Just been to collect the HLX i've bought for my little brother, and it's soo much easier to just shift the control from blue to red till your happy with the temp (as I used to have before with my 1.6 brava).

I know you can put the air con on recirculate, but the windows can begin to mist up then.
Does this switching between 0 and 18 (till that makes it too warm) bug anyone else??
