sub cutting out nooooooooooooo

Hi. Im having exactly the same problem ! Ive got a 1000w splx amp and a 800w audiobahn sub. As soon as i turn the head unit up even on a very low volume ( 10 out of 50 ) the sub cuts out, the amp turns off and a red light comes on the amp. Did anyone manage to find out why it does this? Tom

i never worked out the problem. changed the amp to a JBL one and not had any problems with that. SPLX dont like any changes in the voltage, throws it straight into protection mode.
