I know it's being picky but...

I have a 2004 Multi in silver, and the door frames are painted body colour, which spoils the look of the glasshouse i.m.o (my previous 2000 one was all black, and the new facelift model is also).

I have seriously thought of rubbing the frames down and painting black , but is there any stickers/decal film which will do the job

And while I'm at it the FIAT badge on the rear is the old style logo, while the rest of the car is plastered with the blue round logo - can this be removed easily? (I presume so as the JTD badge vanished before it became mine). I then need a matching decal/badge, but the boot is fairly curvy.

I agree about the door frame paint. It really spoils the look of the car. See this thread:

One day I'll get around to doing mine!

The early cars had what looks like a plated finish (lack black anodising but it can't be that as I think the frames are steel). This must have been an expensive process as later ones have either black stickers (which invariably peel off and are expensive to replace at around £20 per set, per door and they're a pain to apply, I'm told) or are just sprayed body colour like yours.

The best way to remove stuck-on badges from body panels is with a length of dental floss. Hold each end tight and use it to 'saw' through the adhesive pad behind the badge moulding. Then use isopropyl alcohol to rub the remaining residue. Meths kind of works if you haven't got any IPA (but not as well).
