Technical Stupid coolant questions

I need to topup my coolant. The wife bought some from tesco, which is blue. The coolant currently in the car is orange. what do I do? I went to halfords to enquire, the staff were less than helpful.

I should probably empty the system and start again. Where do you guys buy your coolant from? how much do I need? I dont trust this tescos stuff. Is draining and filling the system straight forward enough? Anything I should be aware of?

colour is not standard across different brands so you need to know what type you have in the bottle (it should say).

unless someone has changed it, you will have an ethylene glycol based antifreeze in your cooling system, any other ethylene glycol based antifreeze can be mixed with it regardless of colour.
