Was looking at my car yesterday and noticed that the offside rear wheel is toe'd out slighty more than the left one. That is, the top of the wheel leans further in the car than the other side. I was going to take it to the dealers but my mechanical friend said it could be quite normal and to ask you guys if yours was like that. Basically the top of the offside rear wheel comes in slightly more than the nearside wheel. Could you have a look at yours? thanks.

Less esxtreme than that obviously. about 1cm in at the top difference.

Mine look vertical to the naked eye Beany... Tyres have done 36,000 miles now and tread wear is even across full tyre width and around the circumference on both sides (still the original Bridgestones)

These are the same side, I think you meant left compared to the right.

Now I think mine is slightly like this, noticed it after I had lowered it as it was easier to tell. I thought it was just my car, but now maybe not.

I will have a good look at it when I get my car back from the bodyshop (;)) in a few days. Might be worth getting the garage to look at it mate.

weird then, i better get it check out, i though it might be a built in thing. both your back wheels are identical yeah?

Edit, seen what you mean now. Have you lowered yours?

i was thinking of looking at it from the back. if yours is like that it may well be normall. ill wait and see what other say, have a look at you car folks!

The back is the only way I can see it clearly imo.

normally this is altered when you lower the car. Hence why you have to get the tracking checked a few months after you've done it when everything's settled. If you take it to a tyre specialist they should sort you out :) Dealer will probably charge over the odds unless you can get it done under warrenty!

but its not been lowered nor is it anything to do with the tyre, its the angle of the hub, i mean its only marginally diffrent

Yeah its not tracking, thats only on the front. It seems like a camber change on the rear tyres, partically the offside tyre.

The camber shouldn't be changing on the rear tbh, not sure though considering its lowered may have an effect. I'd say get it checked out, I will probs mention it to the dealer when I need to go in to get the wiring loom redone.

Ok a bit of confusion here, this is what i mean -

But obviously way way less extreme, you would be having to look closely but it is there, maybe 0.5 - 1cm or so different. anyone got the same? my car has not been lowered.

Yea I think mine is the same but the left tyre not the right from that pic.
