Technical Strange offside rear toe angle.

Was looking at my car yesterday and noticed that the offside rear wheel is toe'd out slighty more than the left one. That is, the top of the wheel leans further in the car than the other side.

These are the same side, I think you meant left compared to the right.

Ok boys and girls, seems you all need a very basic lesson in suspension and terminology..

Toe angle is commonly referred to as the "tracking"- whether the wheels point inwards or outwards at the front edge.

Camber is whether the top of the wheels are tipped inwards or out (think of an F1 car).

Nearside is the side nearest the kerb (passenger/ left-hand side)

Offside is the Driver's (right-hand) side.

beany_bot- The suspension angles should be the same both sides, if one side is cambered more than the other- you've got an issue (bent axle/collapsing wheel bearing/etc).

Most tyre fitting bays can do a full 4-wheel alignment check and provide a printout which you can show the Dealer if it's a warrantable fault.
