Stilo V's new Astra

Well to put it the other way your gonna get a whole lot more of car for the money buying a stilo. The bottom of the range astra is £11k and if you want to buy a top of the range abarth only costs around £12k at the moment and yes in my opinion the stilo is a better car and more worth the money. Also astras are even more common than the stilo so why would you want one :p

lol, whoa check the abuse, yes i havent driven one or the other, but one of my parents is a motor journalist, and i get all sorts of information, and im not particularly anti fiat, i have a seicento, but i do find the fact that 90% of the people who are for the stilo own one and thats why you are quite bias about this whole thing, and basically putting this argument in a fiat forum or 'the fiat forum ' or whatever , so your all gonna think the better car being the astra is gonna be crap, because all fiat is the holy grail...
Ah, so having a parent who gives his/her view means that it is gospel? We all have our opinions, and one journalists love may be another journalists hate.

I am not bias about the Stilo - I bought a car to replace my Mondeo with a very open mind - my choices were abound in the medium size hot-hatch market - to name a few - Seat Leon, Ford Focus ST170, Astras, the list is endless - yet I still went for a Stilo, because the overall package and VFM was immense. I had already bought a new Ulysse for Jules [that's my wife, fyi!], so was already aware of what FIAT had to offer compared to the equivalent yet more expensive Peugeots and Citroens.

We are not all arrogant on here to think that FIAT is the holy grail, and be the epitome of motoring. And guess what, there are probably users of this forum who will slate other models in the FIAT range - now, where should I start....:)

How can you slate a car on anything much above the way it looks when you have never been behind the wheel of one before? I mean if we believed JC or any other journalist all of the time none of us would drive anything but a Ford GT, my famiy's Renaults would break down constantly and Toyota would be number 1 in sales with the Yaris...

The stilo isn't the best car out there and of course these guys are biased, however, you don't drive so shut up.

:p

That's rude isn't it? As Stu said, beat the Stilo for VFM, you can't, the coupe, you again can't, if the dodgy tyre wear etc. bugs you buy your Astra.

.. lol, i dont wanna buy a freakin' astra its common, ugly, and a vauxhall. probably one of the most undesirable reps cars in the world, well thats what i think, stilo yeah its nice ashame the 2.4 abarth doesnt shift aswell as it should do, but anyway, i wouldnt buy either personally.. woulda saved that little longer for an alfa romeo,

and you guys are suckers for getting so wound up by some ''16yr old'' '' daddys boy'' or whatever else you wanna call me, i just think its funny how you acctually listen to me who has only ever driven a seat arosa and a seicento, how the hell would i know about a car unless ive driven it! you guys are so stupid here its unbeliveable and "fyi" you all need to get out more.. treat the missus tonight take her out for a meal, or i suppose half you guys don't even get out enough to even know a 'women' if one were on your doorstep, oh well, moral of this story
dont get too easily wound up by a 16 yr old who is taking the p!$$ outta ya. lol

HAhahaha.....so contradictary from your previous comments and in some bits down right wrong.

The abarth does shift, it does have one of the highest torque levels in it's class and we all just love funny people like you.

I will allow James to elaborate!

he writes "stilo yeah its nice a shame the 2.4 abarth doesnt shift aswell as it should do"

and then

"i just think its funny how you acctually listen to me who has only ever driven a seat arosa and a seicento, how the hell would i know about a car unless ive driven it"

So how can you make the comment that the stilo doesnt shift well. You've never driven one! And stop contradicting your self :p

Re: oh god..

FYI, and to reiterate Paul, the 2.4 20V engine has got one of the highest 'torques' in its class for a NA engine. As I said earlier, the 0-60 may be down on certain other hot hatches, but it is mid-range, etc, that it comes into play.

You think it is funny that we argue back? This is a public forum, so why shouldn't we?

And calling us stupid, and that we know nothing about women, p'ah! You never did get off to a good start on this forum, and they way you are continuing now just shows how childish you really are.

Have a nice day :)

My Sig...

Says it all!

And we're getting wound up? I believe it is you who is citing a load of rubbish in order to attempt to add reason to your argument, again, refer to my sig ;)

i believe the astra comes with a lot more features than the stilo and better quality upholstry, take a brand new astra club for 11995, electric windows, cd player, air con, metallic paint, 16 " alloys and some other dodgy features, but hey its a "new shape" its been around less time than the stilo has so its a more desirable option being unique, and only the stilo abarth is any good in my eyes, vauxhall all the way. (y)

a work colleague of mine does, a seicento sporting 1100cc, i own a lupo 1400 16v S , and cheers for welcome msg lols, rickster got me to sign up :)

Three things.............................

1. I agree with this kid, what are you all getting wound up over a sixteen year old for ??? He's zitty, hormonal and probably chucking himself off over Page 3 every night so who gives a monkeys ???

2. Stilo is King, well it is in these forums, you want Vauxhall, type in 'Chav forums' in your search engine.

3. Paul, I object at your references to me everytime you have 'issues' with others or one of your 'man periods'!

Thank you!

Ive owned or driven both, and the astra is merely a car and nothing more. Its transport to keep you dry when it rains and take you to work every morning.

The fiat is a lot more than that. Ive got quite passionate about mine and every other model in the range ive ever driven. Its a car I'd hate to ever let go unlike the vauxhall which I find as interesting as the washing machine in my kitchen. Its not biased its what ive found out through experience.
