General Stilo to have 140bhp diesel engine in 2005?

Is it right that there'll be a Stilo next year available with the 140bhp diesel engine out of the Alfa Romeo 147 JTD M-Jet?

If so, does anyone know roughly when it'll be available? Or in what trim levels?

I'm looking to buy a new car and wonder whether it's worth waiting for this engine...

Excellent news, looks like they are bringing the multi-jet to the UK

No idea about the launch dates or trim, though - keep an eye on the FIAT site.

ALSO, may be interesting to see what alfanige aka ANGEL TUNING can do to this engine.

The multijet has had good reviews, from what I've seen, I'm surprised they haven't brought them to the UK before.

MultiJet 140 bhp is a great engine. It runs like hell!
There's also a Multijet Abarth for sale. Great car!
Here in Portugal it's for sale since August.

I own a Stilo with a diesel multijet engine 140bhp (i live in spain ) so i supose it'll be ariving to england pretty soon. It came out in Spain about 6 months ago and it's a great car.
It's only available in the Dynamic trim which comes with sport seats and a few other small things (same as all the rest of the dynamics)
It's only available with a manual 6 speed gear box that works wonders for the consumptions.
I'm really happy with the car, the engine has lot's of power (it's actually got 49bhp, or so one of our magazines says) and can beat an new Audi A3 2.0 TDi in all the mesurments (acceleration, overtaking...)
If you wan't to know anything else son't hesitate to ask, i've got all the information you can need.

I own a Multijet 5 dr and I can only say FANTASTIC. The car pulls from 1700 rpm upwards and is drivable at virtually every rpm. I´ve installed a so-called "tuning box" (got it for a test run until New Year´s), which suppposedly upped my HP to 170 bhp. The car is crazy with this setup, goes up to 220 km/h on winter tyres and held up pretty well against an A4 3.0 quattro. I will probably decide on a remap though. 180-190 horsepower just sounds too good to pass up
