Technical Stilo - thingy on the cylinder head (?) next to the top of the coils.

Hi folks
Just replaced the coils on 1.4 stilo but wondered what the other thingy located near them is called (and what it does) - looks kind of like a coil - ish but sits to the back of them by itself.

Its the phase sensor then? What's it do?

Also known as the camshaft sensor, it monitors the position of the camshaft in relation to the crankshaft (monitored by the crankshaft sensor). Both sensors send information to the engine management ECU, to govern ignition and injection timing.
