Hi there

A few weeks ago I traded in my old Stilo for YES you guessed it another Stilo (y) Anyhow short and simple story, the Pioneer head unit and facia I had already installed in my previous stilo was taken out and the original put back and in my new stilo the standard head unit was taken out and my lovely Pioneer unit was put in. This is where something went wrong, after replacing the standard unit with my Pioneer I encountered a no sound issue. I checked all the wires everything was plugged in right, no loose wires so I decided for the time being to put the original one back in but guess what, NO SOUND on the standard unit too  :bang:. Both units power up but the sound system of the car does not emit any measurable decibels what so ever

Volxstu advised me to wire the yellow wire in the single iso to the remote input of the unit but I am totally confused as too why the standard unit will also not work  Yesterday a chap from Fiat did say that it did not seem to be a fuse related issue and it looked like a loose wire issue, I have checked and double checked all the wires but nothing  Does anyone know which fuses need checking in any case??

This is totally confusing now and I have had many opinions on this problem but I have now run out of ideas. Its totally strange and I was wondering if somebody has any clues as to why this has happened and any solutions for this problem.

Any input will be much appreciated, Stu I know you there lol help....

Ok i cant guarantee a fix lol but i can have a go. I have a spare amp at home so ill bring that and see if its your sub thats causing a problem.

Would just like to thank Stu again for his kind work and patience and also take the opportunity to leave this thread with an illustrated answer to my NO SOUND problem.

As Stu had already told me, the two wires in the pictures below were the ones which needed to be wired together......... and thats it, theres you answer lol :D

Glad I found this thread back up as I need some help but this time its with putting the original sound system back in. I really am not good with I.C.E so this may be a very simple thing that I may have missed.

I have swapped the units over so that the original unit of the car is back in place, all wires connected, powered it up and NO SOUND.
The steering controls work, the unit control functions work but there is no sound, I am absolutely clueless so if anyone knows how to solve this issue, I will be most grateful for your help...

We spliced the aftermarket HU's remote into the little yellow mini iso. It just needs connecting back up how it was. (y)

Thank you for the reply mate (y)

As far as I know I have connected all the wires the same way back as they were, power, audio and aerial. The mini yellow mini iso was never connected to the standard unit so it is just unplugged. I will remove it back out and have another look mate, I have a feeling i have made a mess up somewhere...

The mini yellow would have been connected. This is the remote plug that turns the amp on inside the sub box. That amp runs all of the speakers, not the head unit.

I am sure the mini yellow iso was disconnected...I have ripped the unit out and all wires were connected properly apart from the yellow iso, checked the fuse and it seems all good, gonna check the rear sub fuse and see if its blown as well.

Thanks for your help Stu, ill get some pics later and update on this situaton (y)

Trust me it has to be connected to get sound.

I really am not sure what happened before but when I first disconnected the unit along time ago I must have had some sort off memory relapse or something...as I never remembered that this mini yellow iso was ever connected up

But as you rightly said Stu my friend, it did have to be connected up, simples  I honestly feel real stupid right now, even the first time we met, when you mentioned that the iso and remote cable of the Pioneer unit may need connecting I still could not work out why you were suggesting connecting that yellow iso up....honesty I have a blank memory of when I initially took the standard unit out and dont remember that yellow iso being connected up to the back of the head unit, what a spazzz lololol

Looks like somebody is due some beers  thanks again for all your help mate (y)
