Hi all,
Has anyone else had the sliding seat problem. On mine when you slide to the desired position it wont click into place correctly, meaning when braking and accelerating, the seat jolts back or forward slightly and feels terrible. I am planning to take the car back to the Fiat dealer when i get a chance ,but i was just wondering if anyone else has had this really annoying problem.
Cheers
Darren

P.S Apart from this fault ,i am happy with the car....

yes i had the same problem and they said the problem was the rails but it still moved around a bit i am 100% sure it was the seat but the bastards are too cheap to change the whole seat

Sometimes I think the seat has locked in it's new position, but after driving and then braking it clicks and moves slightly. It doesn't happen all the time.

At the moment I see it as a mild irritation. If it get's any worse, then I will raise the matter with the dealer.

Mine does/did it too after they changed the seat-covers because of wear (within the year the side had a large greyish spot). Haven´t noticed it today (though I left it at the dealers because the central locking/windows/mirrors/temp display weren´t working again [:(!])

Seems like a common problem, I too had the "jerky" movement on the drivers seat, but only when I moved it to the position I use when driving (it is my wifes' car). Anyway, returned it to the dealer with a number of other small faults (and 1 BIG one), and after a couple of attempts they managed to fix it, so happy faces all round (maybe next time I will order the electric seats ......... if there is a next time !!).
Overall I am happy with the car, it is my 1st Fiat, and it seems that you get used to the quirky ways. It is certainly a lot of car for the money, I drive a 7-series, and the Stilo comes close to the "toys" on board, but is MILES apart in terms of build, but then the price is also significantly different.
We have had the car for about 3 months now, and I drive it occasionally (for fun mostly, after all the Beemer is a bit of a barge). The big fault we discovered after delivery was that the engine fan didn't work !! Obviously no problems on a motoway, but given that most of the cars life will be around town it was a serious "oversight" and testiment to the thorough PDI done by the dealer, after all the b****dy computer tells you that the engine is overheating. Anyway, they apparantly had to change a section of the wiring loom, but it was not a good start for a new Fiat owner.[:(!]
