Technical Stilo 1.9JTD estate issues :(

Hello my friends fiat stilo estate wont start when you turn the key the car wont start you can hear the fuel pump in the tank making a noise i have replaced the fuel pump for a brand new one and it still wont start. Gurggling noise coming from the fuel tank. When you turn the key it makes the noise as if it wants to start but then never kicks in, i have had it plugged into the computer and the car is showing now faults, its the 80bhp engine.

Recently fitted new EGR valve and was running fine for two weeks and now this!

Any white smoke coming from the exhaust when trying to start the car?

Does the engine seem to turn over faster or more freely than usual?

"Gurggling noise" suggests air bubbling through a liquid so if no white smoke and the engine sounds normal when turning it over, put at least gallon of diesel in (no matter what the fuel gauge says) then, without trying to start the engine, switch the ignition on for about 3 seconds several times to prime the fuel system. Then try to start the engine.

Silly thought, but are the connectors reversed by any chance (eg pump running backwards).

Fiat ecu scan,monitor fuel pressure.200bar required to start.
