Technical Stilo 1.6 active not starting?

Hi need help with my friends 52 reg stilo 1.6 been sat for a while (few days or so) low on fuel, he turned it over and there was a funny noise when he turned key first time like a grinding and then a clunk? and it won't start starter motor spins but does not fire few warnings come up abs failure and and ebd failure, put a can of fuel in to make sure its not empty but still won't start just spins over any ideas on what this could be? thank you

How do you charge the batteries on stilo's? i don't dare disconnect it because i don't have radio code or keycard.

Disconnecting the battery does not lose the radio code. The radio code is stored in the Body Computer. You only need the code if you fit a new radio or one from another car.

ok thanks for that, how do i go about charging it up do i remove it from the car? as there is lots of connections on the battery

dont worry about all the connections, they all come off with the possitive connector, its all as one via a plastic plate

just undo the bolt on the positive and the negative, unsrew the metal holder going across the middle, and remove

Help! Stilo 1.6 still not starting!

Hi, posted on here earlier about stilo not starting still cant get it running, charged battery, checked fuel pump everything seems fine but for some reason still won't start nearly fired up other day but died again, it was left sat for a day or so last week and has not run since, engine turns over and sounds like its trying but just doesn't fire any help would be appreciated as can't afford big bill at a garage, thanks
