Hi Guys,

My wifes car went a bit haywire over the cold period in decemeber, basically the dials on the dash would intermittently die completely then come back on, this happened for a few weeks now it completely dead. I've read the following thread here (cant post urls) -

ttp://www.fiatforum.com/stilo/172505-dashboard-dials-all-dead-5.html

and tried replacing the 2 fuses mentioned with no joy (except now the clock has gone off too) also tried cleaning the D4 connector under the battery without success.

I've put a volt meter on the battery and its running a constant 14 volts with the engine running so thats ok. I really dont want to have to fork out for a new one as it only does 2000k a year and i was getting rid of it anyway. Is there any other things i could try ?

for info the car only has 29000 miles on it so getting an instrument panel from a scrappy isnt going to work.

Thanks for any help

Cheers

Steve

Well I guess all that's left to do is to remove it and check for bad contacts somewhere on the board, should you be willing to do so.

Some contact spray on the connector itself may actually cure it.

Thanks Vladof, wouldnt know where to start - any pointers?

Cheers

Steve
