I have a 51 plate multipla and i hate the steering wheel. Its a cheap looking grey plastic wheel. I had a stilo previously and the wheel was a lot nicer(as steering wheels go!). Does anyone know if it can be changed and whether Fiat make a replacement that is less cheap looking or where i can get a decent replacement from.

hello

first u need to buy this item from ebay, item no 290280657478.

then your free to fit practically any aftermarket steering wheel u like the look of.

hope this is of some help to u

Did this with my Alfa a while back BUT not sure if its a legal requirement to retain your airbag.

i did the same thing to a calibra and astra GSI both had airbags fitted and both sailed thru a couple o MOTs each so dont think its a legal requirement.

Think its just an optional extra safety feature thats fitted as standard nowadays, might be wrong but ive never had probs in the past

If you can get hold of a decent looking wheel from a Stilo in black then it should be a straight swap otherwise there was a genuine Fiat aftermarket version which is still avaiable as an accessorie i believe.

My Eleganza came with a lovely black leather wheel which also has steering wheel controls for the radio. I imagine that they are available from the parts department. It does look splendid and I can't see any reason why it's not transferable to an ugly bug complete with airbag?

Any thoughts anyone?
