I have slowly been collecting parts for the steering rack upgrade on my 500R LHD - the rack and a the bolt on mount etc
I am now trying to work out what's needed to complete the steering column setup.

Do I need both the 126 central section of the column with the universal joints and also the main 126 column?
Pretty sure I have read others joining the 126 UJ section to a 500 column?

Thanks

I have some info and pictures regarding the fitment of a "R 'n P" steering to a 500. You can get away using a 500 (but modified) steering column. By using a 500 column, all your controls will stay the same. I can also supply you with a source for all the 126 parts that you will require, although if you have the full "bolt-on mount" you are most probably already using him. Contact me on [email protected] ,let me have your address, and I will put a copy of that info into the post to you. Converting a LHD car seems to end up with a better column-route through the pedals than with a RHD car.
