Technical steering locks when driving
Need a bit more specific info.
a) Does the mechanical steering lock, operated by the key, engage?
Or, b) is it the electric power steering going stiff?
a) You will need a new lock mechanism, NOW, before it locks up and you crash. As this is the mechanical bit, one from a breaker might do if you can swap the lock barrel over and retain your original key.
b) A common failure mode. Will need your steering unit reconditioned.

It cant be a as it would fail type approval if this could happen
so it must be b
plenty of information available on here im sure about eps and then you need to look on somewhere like ebay for an approved reconditioner rather than a bloke in big hat and a tin of black spray that repairs them in his shed
get your local garage to fit it

WTF get it towed to your nearest garage and get it fixed?! Are you really driving around with a steering rack that locks itself whilst driving?!
