Technical Starting problems on grande punto

When wet car does not start as immobiliser does not recognise key. If I do a battery reset it works but the heater plug light don't come on and the lock light comes on the dash do I need new key?

If it's only when wet then it's an electrical issue and nothing to do with the key.

Check the fuse box is dry and the lid is on properly as they can be a bit fiddly but should be a very tight fit.

Then check battery and earth cables and connections.
