Wondering if anyone else had the following problem, ive got a gp 1.9 diesel mjet. Has always started first time in the morning with no probs, but if you do a short journey, say no more than 3 to 4 minutes it struggles to start again. The engine turns over but it just wont start. Ive noticed recently that the fans have been interminent aswell recently, could this be linked. Anybody had the same problem?

I have the same problem bud. I also do a lot of sort journeys and it happens all the time. I changed my battery because my dealer said that that was the reason, but it keeps doing it.
I don't know about the fan but when you restart it turn the ignition on and give it 8-10 seconds before turning it over. I know the glow plug light turns off after a second but it isn't long enought to warm the block. Since i been giving mine the extra few seconds i been starting well " touching wood".
