Hi there,
After waiting 2 months for a new oil cooler housing replacement to arrive, I have an issue with the starter motor after putting everything back together.
This is a fiat 500 TA 2012 0.9
When I took the starter motor out the rubber boot around the 12v stud on the solenoid was like this :
Now I have put the cooler and alternator back in place and I have noticed this rubber boot has now contracted and I take it the o wire connector needs to be connected to the metal ring on the bottom of the stud. and .
I have no idea how this has changed. I don't have access to the car until the weekend and my question is if I can pull the stud out to have it back like in the first picture and be able to put the starter wire cable back in its place?
I have never dealt with a starter motor any input would be much appreciated. Many thanks!
