General starter motor blues!!!

i'm not happy,just as i'm considering getting some skirts and arches for my cinq then getting it all painted in a stunning rage paint,my wee cinqs starter goes belly up! it's not winning any favours with me just now![V] i'm loving the paint i've decided on but stupid little things like this just hold me up![V]

my wee cinq is usually great,thats why i decided that in the spring, it'll get some work done on it! anyway,just got it back from my mechanic and it turns out the starter is ok!!!!it was the battery! i checked it and it seemed ok but if you leave it for a while the voltage goes down to 10 volts! thats why my wee car wasnt starting too good! i've decided on what rage paint to go for and my girlfriend has even said she likes it! (believe me thats something usually she just shrugs her shoulders when it comes to cars!)
