Hope your meaning the fuel level guage not the FPR guage.

I ran with the heat wrapped coolant pipe pretty much resting on the manifold since fitting. No problems at all. Better than wrapping the manifold as that only induces rust. For and against though.

Its more the water pipe that comes from the bottom of the the 4 way bracket that is the closest. The rest are fine IMO. I also wrapped a SS cable tie around pipe to rad bracket to keep it a little further away.

THE ROAD VEHICLES (CONSTRUCTION AND USE) REGULATIONS 1986 (SI 1986 No. 1078)

SPEEDOMETERS
These must be fitted to all motor vehicles registered from 1 October 1937.

Speedometers must be maintained in good working order at all "material times" ie when a vehicle is used on a journey unless:

(a) a defect occurs during a journey, or
(b) steps are taken to have the equipment repaired or replaced as soon as possible. (Regulation 36 and EC Directive 75/443)

A vehicle may be rejected at its annual test if the speedometer is not fitted, or is inoperative, is not illuminated, it has a missing or broken dial glass, etc.

The requirement to fit speedometers does not extend to vehicles fitted with EU approved recording equipment (see under "Tachographs" on page 235–239).

how would they test your speedo on ramp tho :p.

Man u got a set of spax PSX ... expensive stuff :).

ming

You can see the speedo just register when its on the brake rollers and if the mot station doesnt have a brake roller set up for 4 wheel drive they do a road brake test then they will know so it can be seen but we have never bothered with it(y)had some cars come in and none of the dash works period

Just another day of doing silly bits and pieces got my amp, sub, speakers and wiring transfered from the blue cinq to the abarth and spent nearly an hour trying to get the main amp feed thru the bulkhead grommet  think that has to be worst job on a cinq :bang: anyway all done and working now just got to finish off putting the freeview box in (y)
got the angel eyes and blue lights behind the mirror glass working again had a quick look as to why the speedo isnt working and probably due to me not connecting it to the gearbox
also got the fpr mounted and held in place where i want it just got to make a bracket up tomorrow (y) and now i have the aftermarket temp gauge working :D engine temp sits happily around 80c and fan cuts in at 85c so perfectly happy with that (y)]
also finished off putting all the interior plastic trim back in so cant find much else left to do
