mine is just tucked away in the tray under the dash and linked to my h/u will pop pics up tomorrow.my receiver is 12v so can wire straight into the car without having to have an inverter :D

the van has (when i have it in) a big flat screen in it, for use either with dvd's through the HU or xbox/playstation or whatever. There is an album in my gallery if your interested... This conversation has made me think i should just get a new tele for the living room (with freeview HD as i don't have any HD channels atm) and use our current one in the van..

that would be a nice set up to replace the back seats in a cinq :D:D and thats one very tidy van and you can do so much with them but down here you also have the problem of the london low emission zone so certain vans have to pay silly money per day(n) yet another way for the government to sting the motorist:tosser:

Looks as though im going to have to cancel the mot:mad: no bloody speedo and it is down to the worm drive in the box missing something from where the cable slots in as mine just slops about and doesnt grip to register, tried making my own insert but it doesnt seem to work and ive been trying to resolve this since 8am this morning and dont say go scrappy as there are no cinqs round here unless i buy a complete car which aint happening :bang: does anyone have a spare worm drive laying about they can send today special delivery so i get it in the morning???:worship:

@blu73: i know it will go thru its mot i just dont like driving without a speedo at all and should i get pulled after mot and they could see a brand new cable i cant really get away with its just broke!!!i think they would ask questions :yuck:
@fingers: i was using my old cinq box drive but something seems to of disappeared from it in the process of storing it with other bits :( looked everywhere!!
@ming: yes please mate if u could send asap and i can get it put in at work,i will pm you my address and dont know if you got the message earlier but heat wrap is on its way to you (y)

this is not something i have taken off before, some instruction please :)?

Thanks
Ming

there is a little 10mm bolt head on the back of the box which needs taking out as this has a little locating pin on the end and then the assembly just slides out the top maybe all in one or 2 seperate bits.if there is oil in the box it WILL come out the bolt hole when u take it out so beware (y)

Ming, how hard would it be to get it out of the box if it was on the car do you think??

Its easy to get it out its the getting the bolt to line up with the hole on the drive as i have screwed up one already on my spare box got to get a new cover for it at some point:eek: as i got bitten once it took me nearly 3 hours to get the bolt back in where it wasnt going to snap off like the other and all cause it was a tiny fraction out of true:mad: its been a long day doing that but it would definately be loads easier if it was on a ramp and not just on axle stands(n) i doing it on the ramp next time:D

Just curious as i was trying to fix another Andy's speedo the other day and there is either something stuck in there still or there is something missing - just thinking it might be best plan to pop this off and whip it out instead of faffing about from above through the bay.

Drain the gearbox of oil as well as mine was dripping out and made it alot harder as well.small torch also very handy to shine into the bolt hole to see if the hole in the drive is lined up to accept the nipple on the end of the bolt(y)

Seriously though mate be so careful putting that bolt back in i used a spanner and my little finger to pull the spanner if it starts to go stiff undo it when it is lined up u need no more than your little finger to do it all the way in and then just give it a little extra nip.the bolts seems really soft(n)
