yup the front slam panel is welded on.
Hmmm really no point painting the front arm it would only last a week or so.

to me the state its in and the way its attached i would say DANGEROUS as the strength isnt going to be there in a head on accident....think the grinder will be coming out one evening this week as im doing that may as well throw a pair of wings on as well

thats me though i am picky if something doesnt look right then im not happy till it is right and i was going by my old fords where chassis rail are actually attached to the front panel by more than 2 blobs of weld on 1 side
That cars had a second hand front end put on. Everything should be spot welded together. Not in this case because it's from lack of equipment/too rusty to do. I'm suprised all the panels line up with the gaps in the cross member to inner wing sections.
If you dont have a spot welder then drill some holes and fill with weld.
Looking good, and lucky that the plebs didn't notice it.
Are the yellow bushes the hard ones or the very hard ones?
