word of warning, ignore what the gauge says on that fpr, get some proper inline ones for checking. I have one the same (my sard reg died). The gauge reads very low on mine, i got some good quality inline gauges to check the pressures and discovered i was running silly pressures as the gauge was so far off.

cheers for the word of warning going to have it all on the rolling road so will be set exactly then....what makes these so inaccurate then?

i would say it just because its cheap and tacky. When i set my 2nd injector to 2.5 bar on that gauge it is actually around 4.0bar according to my new gauges.. This all arose when my sard reg died and i didn't have a receipt so couldn't get it fixed/replaced for free and couldn't afford a new sard at the time. I bought a reg that looks exactly like that one and put it on car. 50 miles later the car stopped running nice and wouldn't start properly. On removing the brand new plugs they were seriously choked up and black. So only thing that had changed was the plugs and the fpr so decided to get some decent gauges to check pressures and they were both silly high, hence the blackened plugs. Runs fine now, fortunately rich is better than lean so car didn't go bang :)

in that case this one will be got rid of and i will just buy a sard i have seen them on ebay and dont mind paying the money if its going to work properly.....used to use malpassi filter king fpr on my old escort mk1 and 2 and they were fine but i think they look more 70s/80s stlye rather than a more modern item like the sard:D

I am using fuel pump from Hyundai Accent 1.5i , and original regulator with rail from sporting MK1 , and it's all fine :)

Also says lower down in the link that alot of them are blue that are imported, so wouldnt worry about colour. Mine is blue. It has the dots as i checked when i first got it. Not easy to spot, may be worth going for another brand if unsure. Isnt it mad that people get away with things like this....

its really annoying to put it politely:mad: i think i may as well stick with the one i have and just get it set with an accurate gauge.the one im watching as well looks like nuts and bolts whereas the sard is riveted so not going to risk wasting my money(y)
oh and by the way dan ur engine looks stunning but im staying in original colourbut cant say i wasnt tempted to do the same!!!!:D

just gone onto the sard home page and this regulator does look to be a perfect match for the ones in their pictures and had both pics side by side and i cant see any diffference but still unsure if i should have a gamble:confused::confused::confused:
