Squeeling Speakers

I have a sub and amp fitted in my mark 1 punto, however when i turn my CD player on there is a squeeling coming from the speakers and when i rev the engine the squeeling gets louder, and when i turn my CD player off the squeeling stops. Thus coming to the conclusion that my sub and amp must either be fitted wrong or have a loose connection? Cany anyone help me solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

you have a power cable near your rca leads.re route the rca's

i'm sorry im not totally clear on what your saying?

Do you mean power cable as in the red wire that runs from the amp to the battery?

And whats rca's?

basically the thick round wires(in pairs)that run from the head unit to the amp. these carry the signal the amp amplifies. they dont have enough shielding to block out the interference from a power cable nearby

Ok, well the blue wires that run from the heat unit to the amp run along beside the red wire, which goes from the battery to the amp, could this be the interference? or could it be another power cable?

yup you have the power cable beside the rca's.you will always get that noise that way.move one of them.

good when you install it and get it all done.start up the engine and go WTF

ok, i currently have both cable running down the left had side of the car and then under the rear seats and into the boot, any suggestions on where to move one set of the cables?
