Last week I was stuck in a traffic jam on the motorway moving 5 meters every 5 min. After a while the clutch starting making a squeaky noise but not very loud (I had a Lancia Delta HF in the past and its clutch was screaming like a cat when you walk on her tail :)). It also felt slightly harder. The end of my journey was the airport where I left the car for a week (Lanzarote is quite nice this time of year [8D]) and when I was back last weekend the noise had disappeared. Today that I drove inside the city and I used the clutch a lot the noise came back. It's always a quiet one but is there. Has anyone else experienced the same problem? Is it worth it to contact the dealer for something like that or should I wait for it to get worse (because I'm sure that it will). By the way the car is now 7 weeks old and has almost 7000 km.

This is a problem that as I understand is due to the type of grease used in the pedal linkage and coupled with the design of the pedal. If its the same as my problem, I'm sorry to say It'll only get worse. Just as you experienced, my clutch began as a quiet, slightly annoying squeek and then esculated to a very annoying creek that seemed to get worse on hot hot days (The grease becomes less viscous). Anyway..I took it to the dealer and they solved the problem (About the only one they were capable of fixing!!)

if its the actual clutch and not the clutch pedal then its probably the thrust bearing in the gearbox although i would hope not with such low km/s

I hope not as well. But I think it's the actual pedal. I could hear the noise down there inside the car...
