Hope it's OK to post this - couldn't find same issue elsewhere.

I own four Stilo's, two 56 plate Sporting Multijet 150's a Schumacher GP & Abarth. Three of them have been sorned for 4+ years while my operational Multijet has developed a clutch problem to such an extent that I can no longer drive it anywhere with a gradient as it loses power. Attempting to apply much pressure to the accelerator results in 'riding' the clutch, so requires gentle, low rev application.

This problem has existed for a couple of years, getting gradually worse. It had the EGR valve cleaned a couple of times previously which had improved another loss of power issue.

The mechanic who's looked after my cars has contacted his supplier for a replacement clutch but has advised (if I'm understanding him correctly) that the code (engine?) number of the recommended part is six digit, while the code (engine?) number for my car is seven digit. The engine number of my other Multijet is also seven digit.

I also researched clutches online for my car and I've found three different part references: Quinton Hazell: QKT2349AF, QKT2609AF & QKT2743AF.

Can anyone advise on the correct clutch for the Multijet? I have read some comments on here that clutches for Stilo's can now be difficult to source?

I'm aware the cost associated with fitting a new clutch may well exceed the value of the car but it's been a reliable, tough car and I'd like to get it fixed.

Another option would be to fix up one of the others. The other Multijet required a replacement clutch slave cylinder but stood for two years awaiting it and around six years since. The Abarth has been dry stored for around eight years too, while the Schumacher was taken off the road in full working order to save on cost over four years ago. Being red and stored outside, the paintwork is looking a little sad. Not sure if it's just lacquer issue, or would require a respray.

Assume, as well as other deteriorations over the years, I'd need to consider timing belt jobs to resurrect any of the stored vehicles.

Apologies for the ramble and amateurish questions - I'm not particularly mechanically minded but I just love Stilo's!

Get your mechanic to remove the entire assembly and send it to CG Motorsport in Leeds he will either match it or rebuild it.
