Technical Spurious message "Reset Trip B"

Evening Troops…Getting the spurious message and beep “Reset Trip B” on the wife’s 500X Multiair when the ignition is turned on and the display wakes up, it disappears after a few seconds and doesn’t affect the starting or running and no error codes reported.

Anyone came across this strange issue? Disconnected the battery for an hour at the weekend…but made no difference.

500X has two travel distance trips. A and B. Trip B is the longer term trip recorder that one normally does not set or reset.

I've not encountered a Reset Trip B at ignition on.

It could be that Trip B has maxed out?

Have you tried resetting trip B?

I've had that on my 2016. It's in the handbook. Trip b automatically resets after so many hours (can't remember the precise value)

Yeah...first thing I done, but didn't notice how many miles had been clocked up, maybe as DGPunto says it's a long reach counter and resets after a short while. Watch this space.
