Ordered up a K&N Panel filter a few days ago for my 1.6 16V Marea, which arrived today (Price was a cracking £26.00 inc P&P)

In under 2mins all was fitted, first impressions, maybe the engine breathes a little better at high rpm, certainly not a noticeable increase in induction roar

Next step is a custom back box

Got some quotes from, longlife, top gear and mjp performance, prices range £145-200

Anyone else have any recommendations and if so, what sort of price did you pay ?

Im not looking to increase the performance of the car at all, just want it to be a little different to the norm

i would get a universal back box (ebay) and have it fitted to a straight through system, i got quoted £100 incl fitting my backbox, i had a 6x4 magnex fitted to my old wagon cost me £50 and the backbox £25.

I have got a 5" outwardly rolled back box for my need wagon, which i am gonna add to a straight through pipe, i paid £22 for my back of ebay and i will pay about £70 for the straight through pip and fitting.

I use flowtec or pipecraft in essex.

cheers

robin
