hi all

im currently getting the parts together for my low blow conversion, i was just looking at the 899 hat currently fitted to my car and i was wondering if there is any reason i cant use it to mount the 2nd injector in?.

cheers

You can use something similar & that piece is a great little thing to take down to the machine shop as a basic pattern but I wouldn't want to be using a 899cc bob for a turbo application.

As fingers said, the manifold will be under positive pressure so if you don't get the seal right the mixture will end up in the engine bay. You really don't want air/fuel mix entering the engine bay with something like a turbo in there too.

If you look through my gallery I think there's a pic of Blue's old one up there. Not sure how critical the angle of the second injector is.

Generally, you want one made of aluminium or stainless steel. In the first case you need to sort out a place with an AC/DC TIG welder (and weldor) on site.

You might pop into Gleve Engineering in Scholes, just outside Holmfirth (they're on the 'phone/interweb).
