Technical spark plug diameter

Hi,I ordered new plugs for my 2006 punto mk2 b.
But when i received the plugs the diameter of the threads was 13.7 mm.
this is the same diameter of my old mk2 punto 8 valve.
BUT the plug diameter of my 2006 punto 1.2 8 valve is 11.7MM.
Anyone know why fiat made this change,and its not recognised when you order online as i got the plugs for the older mk2.

Common on the FIRE series

M14..I have not seen those for quite some time..

The older Lampredi motors used those.

Personally.. I would go to Halfords.. and see which they list.

My last 4cyl petrol were all 12mm.1994/2004

Strange,i just checked my handbook for the 2006 punto.
The 8 valve 1.2 according to the manual uses the regular 14mm
width spark plug.
But for some strange reason mine has a 12mm plug,could the head have been
changed at some time?

Some 2006 got the new 1.2 8v engine similiar to the grande punto

And often systems mistake a 2006 mk2b as a grande

Square or round oil fill plug?

It has the round oil cap.
Yes you are right,i just checked,the grande version uses the 12mm plugs.
So has my engine any advantages over the older mk2 b engine?
Is there a better headgasket in the version i have????
