Technical MK2B SPARK PLUGS

hi, i ordered spark plugs for my 2006 punto mk2 b.
when i got the plugs they were completely different to the plugs in the car.
The plugs i got fitted an old mk2 2000 reg punto.
WHY have fiat fitted different plugs on the 2006 mk2b punto.
The 2006 model is still stamped model 188,so why are plugs different?
its a 1.2 8 valve model.

I believe the diameter of the plug is different between the years. There maybe other differences also.

Always best to use check for the exact part number you need with a manufacturer such as NGK and then find that exact product.

You probably want DCPR7E-N-10. These fit my 2003 MK2B (mine is a 16 valve but they seem to take the same plug).

If you want to double check, confirm the thread diameter on the ones you pulled out.
