Technical Spare Dash Buttons

How would go about changing the spare buttons in my dash to a switch for interior neons?

Heres the neon switch and from a pic from underneath the dash

that switch fits nicely in to fag lighter socket

Take out the dash centre console.

Remove the button area, and drill a mounting hole in one of the blanked switches

But how do you remove the central console?

you undo the bolts, not forgetting the hidden one behind the middle heater button

why not mount it on the plastic plate thing to the right of the steering wheel.

drill a hole and push the switch in, jobs a good'un

So theres the two screws at the top of the console two at the bottom and 1 under the central dial, i didnt know about the central one thats most probably why it would come off.

Are there any more screws?

I would have it by the steering wheel but id rather keep it central within the car

Cheers for that i now how to get to the buttons now, the existing buttons are there is it ok to pull out the power at the back so i can fully remove the console panel?:slayer:

If your talking about the plug that plugs into the switch console, thats perfectly ok to remove. It's only connecting the switch panel to the wiring loom of the car.
