New firmware for the C902 is R3EA037
It's been out for a while now, fixes the blue&me problems 100%

Does anybody know what version of the new firmware i will have to install if i have a vodafone PAYG handset?

Re: Sony Ericsson c905

Hi guys,

I just upgraded to a Sony Ericsson c905 this weekend and while the message reader works a treat :) , the sound quality on a call is shocking.

I've tried pairing my new c905 with a normal bluetooth headset and that works fine, nice and clear audio, so it must be an incompatibility with the blue&me system rather than a general phone fault.

The phonebook also failed to transfer, and sometimes the blue&me will say its disconnected while the c905 will say its still connected. In this scenario, any incoming calls are redirected to the blue&me, but because the blue&me thinks its disconnected I don't hear anything. This can also cause the phone to slow right down (like a 10 second delay to open a menu), or worse has caused it crash completely as well.

I hope theres a solution out there... I don't want to have to give up my nice new shiny c905 :-(

Anyone got any ideas?

Tom.

I got my new car on Wednesday afternoon, first few calls worked fine then the clicking/tapping started and I couldn't make a decent phone call. Then the phone was freezing up big time and hanging when it was connecting and trying to phone etc.

I changed back to my W580i-Absolutely perfect.

I'm going to ask O2 to change my phone back to a different model as the C905 is a little bit pants IMO. When I create a play list it adds every song regardless of the ones I ask it to add, crashes and then doesn't work with my shiny new car...

Hi Hellcat

Stick with your R3CA033 the 038 version will not answer from the steering wheel, you have to set the phone to auto answer. There might be a solution when this Blue and ME update comes out in English "I tried the Italian version but it did not load”

Regards Kelvin

So... If you have the EA038 update on your phone, does the blue&me 5.4 update + SE patch make the call pickup on steering wheel work?

Seems a lot of work to get to where I am now :D

My W595 is running R3EA037 with the B&M update and the SE B&M update and all is OK (no tin can nor answer delay when using steering wheel control).

sorry to sound an idiot but how do i either downgrade or get the upgrade/se update?

The reset seems to have sorted it.... although now when i call someone its REALLY LOUD! is this a setting on my c902 or is it set in the car somewhere?

You mean, the volume of the Blue&Me lady, and the volume of the call is very high? You can change that in the radio menu>exteral volume. Set it to around 16. That should be enough.

True, but the steering wheel volume up/down is temporary, the radio external volume is permanent.
