Sony Ericsson issues

I have owned 2 Fiat GPS Multijets since 2005. Both have worked with speech and text flawlessly with my Sony Ericsson mobile phones.
Bought the wife a 500 Twinair Lounge and the fecking phones just will not connect. My Android phone connects fine. Has there been some sort of software update with newer cars that makes older mobile phones defunct?
What a pain as the message reader on the SE phones was great.

Update. I deleted all user data for my android phone and managed to get the Sony Ericsson working.

Hi T. Thanks for that. Good to be back poking around the forum and hearing from an old friend. Hope you are well. Good to see you are continuing to pass on your knowledge and wisdom to the less well informed.
It was a bit patronising of me to say I bought the wife a 500. She is now the main breadwinner in the household so she actually bought it herself (with some help from me). Interesting engine in this car, takes a wee while to get used to its characteristics. Completed 250 miles so far and averaging 52 MPG.

Apologies to Blue and Me forum members for going off topic but had to take the time to have a brief chat with T. Very helpful guy and also very patient and tolerant of me and my (drunken) rantings over on the Grande Punto forum. I have hopefully calmed down a bit now T, so no more grief for you and the other moderators.
