The other night i gave my car a bit of stick. I came off a roundabout in 3rd gear going quick then when i changed up to 4th it just splutterd and did'nt have any guts. I changed back down and everything was ok for the 46 mile drive i had to do, so i thought nothing of it, only it did it again today.
As anyone come across this problem and know what it could be?.
I think it could be the clutch slipping at high rev,s. I've had the car over 2 years and never had to change it so do you think the time as come?.

dont think its the clutch, the clutch slipping wouldn't offer any resistance and cause a spluttering, it would slip and the revs woould shoot right up along with engine noise as if in neutral.

How about the fuel pump not working properly, possibly not feeding enough fuel when needed most.
