General Softer ride turned harder!

So I have bought a qubo and very pleased with it..drove it about for the last couple of days and thought it seems to be soaking up the potholes quite well? My van jumps out of the potholes ( esp when empty ) yesterday I checked tyre pressures..25 in front and 20 at the back? So I pumped them to 33 in front and 30 at back..not such a soft ride now..almost jumpy in the damn potholes! Lol I wonder if they were at the low pressure deliberately? A softer ride would be a selling point I guess..who checks tyre pressures on a test drive? Local driving to work and pottering about the qubo is averaging 48 mpg so no complaints from me..

Mine was very hard when I bought it and I replaced knackered rear shocks which softened the ride loads.

Oh! shocks should be ok on mine..its only done 20k? Seeing how terrible the roads are..maybe milage doesn't count anymore?
