Before anyone starts slagging me off none of ya boot it down the motor way Wel the A444 is A long Dual Carriage Way which goes between nuneaton and coventry Nobody walks down it and it is a very long stretch of road you can see for about 2 miles, along your normal city roads I stick to the limit. because there is a danger of 1 cars coming head on 2 pedestrians 3 Cyclists. What is the harm of a little bit of fun now and then? if you lot have never once put your foot down then i think you are talking out of your ass.

Its all very well but when an inexperienced and arrogant driver like yourself suddenly finds themselves in a situation they are not prepared for something nasty usually happens.

Holds hands up

But i never slated your actions in your previous post...

There are (IMO) a lot of circumstances that determine whether actions are safe or not...only you know the answer to that, as you were the only person driving...

On the way to the meet last week, i was driving at nearly three times the legal limit on a dual carriagway racing a V6 Golf 4 motion...This was not clever, but IMO it was safe...

I could see a good mile in front of me, with no cars in sight...the only person in danger was myself...

It may be worth leaving this alone...

Yes that is fair enough tom but all i am saying is that i don't race round in the city and yes i might be inexperienced and if i crashed i would be a **** but i am not completely stupid I do 20 mph or less round schools and other vunerable areas I race one bloke and the whole fookin forum is up in arms!!! Why? I mean come on nobody here has had some **** all over there ass and they have tried dusting you at the end of the day there was me and him did he have to come up my arse? when there was another lane!!!!

Cos really you should not have raced him.

If someone gives me the nod I give it some boot to 30mph and let them run away into the distance. Not worth my while trying to proove anything.

If someone is driving like a tit then get away from them incase they do something stupid causing you to crash. If that happens you are really ****ed.

Re: Re: Re: So none of ya boot it down the motorway

Previous post was locked for a reason. Insults were getting personal. This will go the same way.

Racing on public roads is not big and its not clever (rather like an uneducated dwarf).

If ya wanna race - get down to the Pod.

Lets leave it at that :)

Re: Re: Re: Re: So none of ya boot it down the motorway

You don't race at the pod, you just show your ability to press the accelerator and drive in a straight line.

Racing involves corners and at least some tallent.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: So none of ya boot it down the motorway

I was just making a point that racing on public roads aint good.

Track, Pod, Wherever. Just not on the public roads. I too have lost a friend thru this. They weren't racing. They were an innocent victim.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: So none of ya boot it down the motorway

Unfortunately its rarely the racers that get hurt.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: So none of ya boot it down the motorway

even if u are going 20mph or less round school roads n stuff .. people still get hurt! there's always another car to come the other way doin 60mph n hit u, the person who was crossing and the old lady on the kerb! u cant prevent an accident by going slow only lessen the chance of u causing it!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: So none of ya boot it down the motorway

Motorways are the best place to get 3 points and a fine.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: So none of ya boot it down the motorway

there isn't anything wrong with giving it some boot down a motorway, where the difference between car speeds is actually very little.
round town is just wrong,
where the difference can be up to 60pmh difference.

my theory is if your gonna kill yourself, kill yourself and no one else.

where i live it's always been a case dickhead boys end up taking out a bus stop killing 5/6 people and not even doing any damn jail time for it.

my insurance

the problem with you racing at those speeds is that when you do eventually right your wheels off and hopefully you come out alive you claim on your insurance which everyone else is paying for, everyone elses insurance goes up over time as well as yours to pay for all these right offs, it is people like yourself that give young drivers the bad name and the high insurance premiums

god help my wallet!

safety wise i won't lecture anyone, you are risking your own life after all which is some form of payment....but don't right your wheels off...it costs me money...down the line

Re: my insurance

My apologies, I didn't realise it was acceptable to drive your car flat out; as long as it was on the motorway.

Re: Re: my insurance

Speersy don't leave the forum just cos others got on your case.
Everyone has a lapse of judgement now and then don't worry about it.
Summer is around the corner and then you can really enjoy your car.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: my insurance

Do you realise that everytime some numbnut has an accident, wether it's a plonker driving home from the pub sloshed or the old lady from across the road or even some DICKSPLASH who think's it's great "having a race" on the public highway's, Every accident that involves the police, ambulance service and fire service cost's almost £300,000 to clean up and it's the tax payer that foot's the bill.
