well its costing more and more money - but i think Winter tyres are a must soon for me

My epic Mk2 Elx 16v green Punto beast ate every bit of snow each road had to give on budget tyres
, and I am not exaggerating, it simply liked the snow and it made me a lot more comfortable when having to get around in those manic conditions, I had barely any issues but when the roads iced up, No way Rose did I even try.

my punto was amazing in the snow last year but it will help to have snow socks tbh
My mk2 was surprisingly good in the snow last year and ive only got budgets on mine, the only time i got partially stuck was at work when i accidently drove into the only bit of the car park that was sunk down a bit and the snow there was a lot deeper than i thought lol, still managed to drive out of it though without getting out of the car
Panda was useless, although maybe it was me that was useless and in experienced. I just couldnt get it to not wheelspin up a hill to work, oversteer was massive as well
I have to say though, when i had my tyres replaced i couldnt afford a semi decent tyre, but back then i think they were on pretty worn conti's. If my mk2 was roadworthy it could prove very useful.

lol at some points my car would actually just tootle past 4x4s that were just wheel spinning which i found highly amusing but i didnt want to stop and help incase i got stuck too
that happened to me before
best one was on the way to college and on the radio there was some traffic minister or something saying that the only people that are going to be able to get to work etc are those with years of experience and 4 wheel drive cars
there's me driving past all the stuck people in my little punto and i had only been driving a year at that point, maybe not even that lol!
I actually love driving in snow, not sure why but whenever i need to go out even with my mum or something i always put myself up to drive

I want snow and lots of it! I am praying that when SWMBO says "my waters have broken" that I have to use the landy to get to the hospital and then to bring the baby home!
i was born in bad snow apparently and my dad slipped over in the car park at the hospital and pulled a wing mirror off
Yeap the same happened to me a few years ago and I loved every minute of it
I did stop a few times where some roads had been closed off and everyone had to turn around to help people with both R/W and F/W drive cars, poor buggers I hated my Abarth in the snow, I intend to walk everywhere I can if it snows anywhere near as bad as last year. Far to many big hills where I live and people that stop for silly reasons half way up them!
