This may sound stupid, but I have a 07 punto and on the centre console there is a snow flake symbol, is it something to do with AC? ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1415037693.415561.jpg

You've probably worked this out for yourself, but if you re-circulate the air on a damp day or wearing damp clothes.....or, er when breathing on a cold day, the windows will fog up.

Then you end up turning the A/C on to clear the windows which are trying to mist up due to the air being re-circulated and so on. We have a Zafira at work that clears all the windows quickly but if you turn it off the 'screen mists up again.

Isn't that swearing on a Fiat forum...? :)

Haven't seen a car that doesn't fog up the windows when recirculation button was pressed.

Air Conditioning contributes to dehydration of the air.

Full heat plus AC for some time = the best way to de-mist windows etc.
AC enabled for 10 sec are enough to de-mist windows but if you switch it off right away mist will come back. Let it dehydrate all the air and then use only the heater ;)

I always use aircon all the time, the benefits out weigh the drawbacks (except when the roofs down). You use more petrol with the windows open than air con running and the compressor seals don't dry out. Not running the aircon is a false economy.
