Styling Smooth siding Mk1

So yeah I am like 75% through smooth siding my punto I just got the drivers door to do. But I got a problem, my left side has left big blobs of glue? Possibly which is really, really stuck on to the paintwork. I got rid of all the adhesive around the edges apart from these blobs which are at each end of where the side strip was.. Any advice? I tried white spirit but no luck on taking them off.

If you use WD40 make sure you wash it off with plenty of water. But yeah, WD40 and a towel
