It has been tracked down to a faulty router with our hosting company, which they are having trouble sorting.

Last support message was given at 8:30am this morning, so hopefully it will be sorted out soon.

A thought, when you get a slow page up, could you (if you know how) view the source for the page, and at the very bottom you will see:

<!-- NUMBER -->

Post that up for me, will help work out if its network speed or server speed.... ta muchly.

mine never times out, just sort off splutters every so often

Ben, was gonna reply about opening the page concerning the bloke with wet stereo - took ages and got a <!-- 27.75 --> for that one.

Got a <!-- 23.92188 --> when I hit reply with quote to this one though as well. The waiting seems to happen in phases, although in general the forum does seem quicker of late.

a couple of hours ago on a fair few topics they took ages to load then in the reply bit at the bottom it wasnt there.

instead was a comment with some technical blabble saying the source took too long to load blah blah and wouldn't let me reply.

It would have been quite useful if you'd made a note of that technical blabble actually, any information I can get helps me investigate the problems.
 
i couldnt get on earlier, and i goto active topics have a whole load to read, read one then go back to active topics and find it has loged me out and in again so only have topics for last minuet or so:(
