A few months ago i was with freeserve broadband and changed to orange unlimited. When i first got broadband a few years ago, i was getting 512kbps with unlimited downloads for £27.99/month. At the time, this was a good deal, but obviously nowadays its sky high, so i changed to orange who have unlimited broadband upto 8meg for £19.99/month. When i changed, they said i would be on the original 512 for the first month before going to 2meg (highest my exchange will support.) Im still on 512 but the speed recently is abysmal. Speed check is actually showing around 260, and the latency is appauling. I can be waiting a minute or longer just for a forum page to load, and streaming video is now out of the window. Thing is, im on a 12month contract with them but desperatly want to change now because the service is that bad. They are not providing me with the service they offered so should i be able to leave the 12month contract?
I was thinking of getting a sky package, as thats what my sister has just got and she's amazed with it. Our freeview reception is crap, so it'd be nice to get some decent TV aswell.
Any opinions on what i should do?
