Just out of interest is anyone finding the site a little slow currently - im getting a bit of buffering here when swapping between threads. im not having issues on other sites.

I noticed this with Firefox. On the network performance tab I see a small 120KB image taking like 20 seconds to load.
Usually I use Palemoon to browse and it's a lot quicker on this site for some reason.

It has been for me too, logging in and once in...
Been like it for a week or so, no issues with my Internet speed which I keep checking.
This forum is the only site I'm having this issue with...

Hey guys, I had been keeping an eye on this thread as we don't want a slow forum.

I have a 24x7 monitoring system running which returns the response time - and it hasn't really shown any major issue.

April did have a few "blips"

If you're only seeing it every once in a while, it could be coinciding with those.

I only see the speed from Taiwan, which is never going to be super fast, so maybe I'm just not noticing it?

Thanks @ben it definitely went slow the day of the original post…it wasn’t location that was the cause as, as the original poster stated, every other website was functioning normally. However, some reported no issues, so I’m going to go out on a limb and say it may have been our devices?!?

If a few people were noticing it, but not others then it seems like a network connection (between them and the server)

If it happens again, post in the help forum as I get those threads alerted right away

its taking ages to load up via google tonight!
This time I was alerted (twice, happened an hour apart) - most annoyingly whilst I was sleeping :(

It was caused by a CPU spike

I think some task went rouge, because I reset it and it went back to normal.

It can sometimes happen if we get flooded with bots or search engines as well - there were 800 online at the time.

It was originally set to alert me if CPU usage is over 90% for 30 minutes - I've adjusted this to 15 minutes now, so I'll be able to catch it faster :)
